The self-storage business is a fast-paced environment and our employees wear many different hats from sales and customer service representatives to marketing specialists and cleaning crew. Below is a list of duties that you will be responsible for: Duties (include but not limited to): • Daily operations of the facility • Standing up and greeting everyone when they walk in • Aiding customers in selecting the right size storage unit before each rental • Being able to accurately perform each storage rental and complete all appropriate paperwork correctly • Sell and maintain proper inventory for all merchandise • Maintaining accurate recording keeping of all customer accounts including but not limited to customer payments and notes. • Ability to maintain accurate bookkeeping records for daily bank deposits, receipts, payments, invoice processing per company policy • Working independently or with other team members at multiple locations • Conduct daily physical storage unit inspection; walk-thru, lock checks, confirm inventory availability and ensure spaces are secure and/or ready to rent • Perform cleaning and maintenance such as sweeping, mopping, picking up trash and wiping windows to ensure a great customer experience • Fulfilling monthly marketing targets such as calls, visit, emails, social media post and events in the community • Manage the collection of past due and delinquent accounts and preparing units for auction while staying compliant with the local storage lien law.
***This position requires you to travel weekly from Denham Springs to Prairieville***
Candidate Qualifications: • Previous experience in the self-storage, property management or other related fields is recommended • Valid Driver's License • Reliable Transportation • Successfully Complete Background Check, Drug Screening and Aptitude Test • Ability to Multitask and build rapport with tenants • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to learn new software systems quickly
Physical Requirements: • Sitting/standing/walking for up to 8 hours per day and lifting to 30 pounds • Will walk approximately 50% of your day and will sit at a computer for 50% of your day • Must be able to maintain a clean work environment inside as well as units. • Must be able to view computer screen for long lengths of time
